Data Deletion.

Overview

Postaroo takes data privacy seriously. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This page describes the three ways to trigger a deletion, what data is removed, and how long the process takes.

Option 1 — Delete from inside Postaroo

The fastest way to delete your account is from within the dashboard:

• Sign in at dashboard.postaroo.io.
• Go to Settings → Account.
• Click Delete Account and confirm.
• Your account, connected social accounts, scheduled posts, uploaded media, and access tokens are permanently deleted within 30 days.

Option 2 — Remove Postaroo from Facebook or Instagram

If you originally connected a Facebook Page or Instagram Business account, you can revoke Postaroo's access directly from Meta:

Facebook

• Open Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations.
• Find Postaroo in the list and click Remove.

Instagram

• Open Instagram → Settings → Apps and Websites → Active.
• Find Postaroo and tap Remove.

When you remove Postaroo from Facebook or Instagram, Meta notifies our servers automatically. We then delete all data associated with your Facebook User ID within 30 days and email you a confirmation code you can use to track the deletion status.

Option 3 — Email us a deletion request

If you cannot access the dashboard, email us and we will delete your account manually.

Please include the email address used to register your Postaroo account. We respond within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

What we delete

• Your Postaroo user profile, email, and password hash.
• Encrypted Facebook and Instagram access tokens — both user tokens and Page tokens.
• Connected Facebook Page metadata, Instagram Business account IDs, and profile images we cached for display.
• Scheduled and published post content, captions, images, videos, and any media uploaded to your Postaroo library.
• Brand DNA training data, AI chat history, and analytics we collected about posts you published through Postaroo.
• Workspace and team membership records tied to your account.

In addition, we call Facebook's Graph API DELETE /me/permissions to revoke any remaining access tokens on Meta's side.

What we may retain

A few categories of data are kept for limited, legally required purposes after deletion:

• Billing records — invoices, tax records, and payment receipts are retained for up to 7 years to comply with accounting and tax regulations.
• Security and abuse logs — anonymized authentication and rate-limit logs are retained for up to 90 days to protect against fraud.
• Backups — encrypted database backups roll over on a 30-day cycle; deleted data is purged from all backups within 30 days.

Timeline

• Immediately — your account is disabled and tokens are revoked with Meta.
• Within 7 days — primary records are deleted from our production database.
• Within 30 days — all backups are rotated and your data is fully purged.
